Visible Light Communication
Patrick Nelson reviews current research at Dartmouth which shows that visible light may be a good medium for disseminating secure communications.
Nelson earlier reported that solar panels may be designed as visible light communication receivers, citing a TED video given by Harold Haas. A side benefit of using solar power for data communications is that the technology could help nations meet their carbon reduction targets.
