The Measure

Jammie Wilson provides a review of a recent bestseller, The Measure .

My own take is that the "supernatural" appearance of industructible boxes bearing individual's names would have more social and individual impact than the common knowledge that an individual's lifespan is going to be shorter than others. By the time one reaches seventy, a contemplative person realizes that the remainder of their life will probably be measured in years rather than decades, and they have undergone the waning of the bodily and mental endurance they possessed in their youth which is a harbinger of death. Real-ID

Gabby Del Valle warns that possessing a Real-ID or specified documentation (such as a passport) is a requirement for adults to pass through TSA inspection in a timely manner. Alternate methods for determining citizenship status will entail long delays, which could result in missed flights.

Children under 18 may travel without a Real-ID if they are accompanied by an adult with approved documentation.
