Gabby Del Valle warns that possessing a Real-ID or specified documentation (such as a passport) is a requirement for adults to pass through TSA inspection in a timely manner. Alternate methods for determining citizenship status will entail long delays, which could result in missed flights.

Children under 18 may travel without a Real-ID if they are accompanied by an adult with approved documentation.
