Web Browser Market Share

Gregg Keizer reports that the combined market share of the usage of IE and Edge is falling to 15% , even though the majority of users have a Windows PC or laptop. Users are installing and using Google Chrome, which is therefore winning market shares.

Browser Application Development

ComputerWorld columnist Gregg Keiser writes that Mozilla suspends work on 64-bit Firefox for Windows. Keiser indicates the Mozilla team did not want to release a browser that would be incompatable with the installed base of addons. He notes that the browser shipped with Windows 8 retains a 32-bit coding for its tabs for the same reason.

My own take is this: that developing new 64-bit browser addons will be potential job market in the future.
