Thor Olavsrud notes that while most laptop theft occurs off premises (while traveling or in facilities such as restaurants), a staggering 23% of theft reportedly occurs within the walls of the organization. Olavsrud cites a report from Kensington , a major manufactorer of locks for laptops.
