The Influence of the Church
Michael Luo muses on the declining influence of the Christian church in the U.S.
Luo surmizes that church leaders may have lost influence as they moved away from preaching the "good news" and the work of developing a loving community. At the close of his article, Luo observes that N. T. Wright calls on Christians in the post-pandemic turmoil to rally around a leader who will “defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor” (Psalm 72:4).
