Artificial Intelligence and Judgement
Daniel Goleman and Yuhyun Park explore the ethical boundaries of artificial intelligence .
The authors suggest that judgement requires five steps, and artificial intelligence is only competent to deal with the first two. These five steps are:
-DD
- gathering the data we have (information gathering and synthesis);
- developing information that we do not have (prediction);
- judging based on prediction (judgement);
- making decisions based on judgement calls (decision); and,
- acting based on the chosen decision (action).
