U.S. Loses GPS Monopoly

Shiugenori Arai notes "the [Japanese] satellites can narrow margins of error to 10 cm or less, improving significantly on the American [GPS] system's roughly 10-meter window. China is mandating its phones use its Beidou constellation of satellites, and this may result in fragmentation of the cellphone market.
