iCloud and SMS

Johnny Evans notes that Apple Messages (SMS, etc.) can be stored to the user's iCloud is a great benefit for individual users. However, the additional cloud storage location could result in security problems for corporations. It appears that messages can be erased from the phone and afterward recovered from the cloud - a security problem in a "bring your own device" work environment.
