Drawing In Class
Rachel Smith shares the value of "Drawing in Class" as well as techniques for keeping-up with the speaker. She warns first-time visual notetakers that they should become familiar with their drawing tool (pencil, iPad, whatever) before attempted to make a record of an event. She also warned that ALL visual notetakers fall into the trap of falling behind perfecting their images: she says that disciplined notetakers finish some drawings later. She also encouraged those who adopt this technique to memorize some standard images that can be called-up like shorthand when needed.
