Ergonomics and Standing Desks

Ryan Cordell reports on his experiences using a "standing desk rather than a traditional seated posture. I wonder if those put-off by the $500-plus pricetag for standing desks might be able to acheive some of the benefits by using a laptop on a podium in an empty classroom. At my university we have sophisticated teaching stations which are used from a standing position, and there are periods during the day when these are unused.
